Hugo Campos

Dr. Hugo Campos serves as Deputy Director (interim) of the International Potato Center.

He has more than 30 years of international experience in multinational companies and CGIAR in multiple countries in Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, the United States and the United Kingdom, mainly leading multidisciplinary international genetic improvement programs in various crops (sugarcane, corn, soybeans, canola, potatoes, sweet potatoes and wheat). He also has extensive private experience in innovation. His five books have been downloaded/sold more than 440,000 times and he is in the process of publishing his sixth book. Agricultural Engineer from Universidad Austral de Chile, Ph.D. from the John Innes Centre, United Kingdom, MBA from Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile, and with a Professional Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Stanford University (United States).
